We often forget

How great he really is. How misunderstood, how maligned. But great, like no other President has been.

I can't agree with many of his policies, many I agree with as if they were my own. But you cannot deny his greatness - you cannot. I challenge you to try. Sure, you can spew rhetoric and lies, twist truths and bandy about names, but you cannot deny his greatness.

For all the talk in this election year, all the crass claims and cries of change - the only one who doesn't see in color? He's leaving soon and you cannot replace him with the three who are trying as they don't come close to greatness.

6 a.m.

I left the house at 6 a.m. again. These long days get to me. I leave before it is light and I get home well after dark.

We ate a late dinner yesterday so that I could spend a few moments with the family. But I tell you, those moments are not enough.

The Boy has taken to jumping in bed the last few nights and not budging. I've not seen him nearly enough and he is fed up. I feel like a bad mommy as I don't want to come home and play video games, I just want to sit in a chair like a lump for an hour and then go to bed. Needless to say, he is unhappy with me. When I call to check in, I can't get a word in edgewise as he is celebrating that I'd even call.

So at 6 a.m. this morning, as I was grabbing my cell to leave for work, I took a grainy dark picture of the two men in my life spralled in exactly the same sleeping pose-proving their relation. And I smiled.

So, here's to hoping your 6 a.m.'s are as sweet.

Boy Speak

Today was show-n-tell and the Boy was to take something belonging to mommy. He took a handpainted boomerang that I was gifted from a relative who visited Australia.

He was so excited and practiced what he was going to say all morning. At school he whispered to the teacher what he had brought and all the kids were to begin guessing.

So, the teacher thought of clues to help out. She threw out the following clues:

1. Does it have legs? . . . no . . . (teacher is perplexed);
2. Does it live in a tree? . . . no. . . (teacher is confused);
3. Does it eat fruit? . . . no . . . (teacher is chuckling to self);
4. Can you see it at the zoo . . . no, I don't think so . . . (teacher is flumoxed);
5. Is it reddish-brown . . .no . . . (teacher gives up).

The teacher says . . . honey, I give up. (even though she thinks she knows). Boy pulls out the boomerang beaming and the teacher exclaims "Oh! It's a boomerang!" Boy says "yep" (now he is perplexed.) Lots of oohing and ahhing over my boomerang.

What did he tell the teacher his mom leant to him to bring to show and tell?

An Orangutan!

Why?

Why? Why is it only 3:19? Why won't this day end? Why do I feel like I've been here all week?

Oh, cause I have - since Sunday. I've seen my husband for exactly 22.5 minutes this week. I've seen my son for exactly 3.6 hours this week. I have seen my computer, my desk, and my colleagues for exactly 74.2 hours this week. The rest is travel and sleep

Happy trails!

Ethnic Cleansing the Terrorist Way

Terrorists will stop at nothing to kill innocents.

I don't talk politics or world events here anymore. But this takes the cake.

See, today, 73 people were killed at a market in Iraq. The weapon of choice? Two suicide bombers.

Now, sure, you may blame these two bombers . . . I do not. Why? Because they know not what they did.

You see? The slimes that parade religion in the face of murder will use any means to effect their goal - maximum casualties. Today? They used two mentally handicapped women.

Yes, that is right! Two women with mental infirmaties who apparently were unable to do the job themselves - as the bombs were detonated remotely, were used as pawns in the "My religion is better than yours" game we now know as Terrorism.

Call it as it is. Muslim extremists, those very same who have Barrack Obama's ear and support - our next President or VP (though I hope not) -

Islamic hope.jpg

use unwilling, incapable, handicapped women to kill innocent shoppers out for a stroll.

You "War for Oil" Bastards out there - TAKE HEED! THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OIL OR EVEN TO DO WITH THE U.S.!

If this was for oil, I wouldn't paying over $3.00 a gallon, my heating bill wouldn't be about $400.00 this month - so, if I hear one more "get us out of Iraq" piece of shit tell me that the only support I should give the troops is the support to get them home - I will offer this sage piece of advice:

"If I had Balls - I'd tell you to suck them!" Oh wait, just did.

Likewise, this war - this war on terrorism - has nothing to do with the U.S. We didn't bring this on ourselves, we didn't "create more terrorism". We have exposed it for what it is. Religious zealots who care not for human life, and only for their agenda, "kill, kill, kill some more, throw in a side of kill sauce, oh and while were at it, don't throw out the baby with the bathwater - just kill it."

If sending women with down syndrome into a crowed market and remotely detonating explosives killing those women and many other innocent people - not one of whom was an american soldier, thank god, doesn't scream Kill for the sake of killing - I don't know what does.

The way I see it? This is the muslim attempt at eradicating undesirables. Yep, you heard me. I call it like I see it, This is the muslim way to take their handicapped and rid the world of them - blow em up. Post-natal abortion, if you will.
