Big Suprise

So is it supposed to be a surprise that the morally bankrupt sir drunkalot, Ted Kennedy thinks that the Bolton recess appointment is an "abuse of power"? A power, mind you, given to the President by the Constitution, but never mind the facts Ted, just pass me a martini.

Or, that Reid and Feinstein and their friends are in agreement?

Here is a newsflash for ya! the President's job is not that of a popularity contest host. He doesn't present the public or the world for that matter with the most "popular" choice. Sorry. Not his job. Look to Ryan Seacrest to fulfill that roll on the next season of American Idol.

I hope Bolton does a good job. I hope he helps mold the changes which should be taking place at the UN and I hope he sends a message to the world that we are no-nonsense in our foreign policy.

I also hope I can hold in my snickers each time I see his mustache.

What I find really interesting is that even communist tin-pot dictator thief baby-killer genocidal Kofi Anon realized that this was what Bush could do.

No kidding. I have to admit though, I kind of enjoy the arm flapping howling spectacle the dems make when W does stuff like this. :-) And I hope Bolton does a good job -- Kofi should be nervous now if he has any sense....

The fact that Bush could'nt get Bolton through even with a majority speaks volumes. Even though I don't agree with the appointment, I do understand that he has that right. :(

Oddybobo, I think you're a little off mark with the role of the President. He is to represent the "will of the people". That is usually measured by what's "popular"- even if he's not! Sorry, I had to throw that last comment in. *giggle*

Teddy's like the drunk uncle that always shows up at the family cook-out uninvited and drunk! You try to push him out the door but he just can't seem to take a hint.

As a drunk uncle, I must say that I resent being compared to Ted Kennedy :-)
