In need of prayers

Hey, those of you who still read my pitiful site, I have a request.

You may have read about my baby sister here before. She's the not-so intelligent, loser magnet that is trying to extricate herself from her loser husband.

Well, said sister is 27 years old and has an almost four year old boy.

Little sister has been diagnosed with uterine cancer. I did a little research and the survival rate is quite high. So with proper treatment she should be fine. She will probably need a hysterectomy though, which means, no more kids.

So, I'd appreciate kind thoughts, prayers, incantations, or chants sent her way if you are so inclined. Thank you.

I'll be praying for her and her son, and for you. May you all find the strength and peace you need to get through this so that she can live a healthy and loser-free life, and her son can learn from some remarkable women how not to be a loser himself.

Will be praying. My mother went through the same thing when she was about the same age. 25+ years later and she is doing just fine.

I'm a little late to the prayerfest, but I'm joining in, too. May God continue to watch over you and yours with a little extra special attention to your sister in Jesus' Holy Name, AMEN!

As a person who had cancer and got better, I have a few words of advice for your sister:

1)Don't 'Google' your tumor. There's a lot of conflicting info on the web, and unless you're a doctor, you won't be able to make heads or tails of it. Get ALL your info from your doctor.

2)If your doctor tells you the prognosis is good, believe him (or her) and feel better already.

3) Try to nap during chemo treatments. A good MP3 player helps.

4)As soon as you notice your hair falling out due to chemo, shave your head. Get it over with. Learn to love your skull!

5)We have the best doctors in the world here in the US. You WILL get better!
