Conversations with Mom

Last night I called my mom to chat. She is an American Idol fan and i thought I would ask her which contestent she liked. Here was the conversation:

Me: Hi Mom! How have you been?
Her: Everything's peach.
Me: You mean peachy?
Her: That's what I said! Everything's peach.

Me: Oh. Good to hear!
Her: Damn fly!
Me: What?
Her: I hang up now, must kill fly! *click*

And that, my friend, is a conversation with mom.

Sounds like a lovely woman. :D

My sister-in-law is much like that, all over the place and won't hesitate to hang up if one of her dogs has an eye booger. LOL!

Why do you suppose that sounds so damned familiar?

Maybe she can decipher my son's speech!

Well, at least you don't have the same conversation 6 times in a row (without ever hanging up). *grin* There's always an upside. ;-)

I would give my right arm for a conversation like that with my mother. Please understand that conversation took place in my mind with your mother's voice as a high-pitched Korean accented voice. I laughed.

Whenever I make the mistake of actually trying to have a conversation with my 'flower child' mother, it is literally one to one scale. Her story of what she did today takes the exact same time to tell as it did to experience. And with a far left political bent, too.
