In a Mood

I must be in a foul mood today. It was a Metallica morning. Mixed with some Megadeath for good measure.

Two "she doesn't look that great on paper" newspaper articles this weekend and I am feeling somewhat deflated.

So, I've nothing to say but pray for me to succeed in this endeavor. My pneumonia is nearly gone and I'm feeling better - now if my spirits would simply match . . .

Oh, and the 53 acres next to me sold for an outrageous amount of money and our once peaceful woodlands are now posted so my son and I can't walk and collect "stuff" and the new "neighbors" intend to build many houses upon said land, ruining my view, my sanity and my neighborliness . . . I hate progress.

So, in an effort to make myself smile, and to make you all smile as well . . . LADIES - I AM TALKING TO YOU! Check out the extended entry for some fireman eye candy . . . Guys, you may not be disappointed either - just sayin!

If you are wondering about the pursed lips, he is singing the Crazy Frog Axel F. song.

I'm feeling much more positive about the future of this country just looking at him! What a cutie...! :D

I was expecting something else... and then he took his jacket off!

(Just to tease those who haven't yet clicked the extended version... heh, heh, heh...)

What a cutie pie!!

And hey - I think you looked *great* on paper. I'll be talking to the Big Guy on your behalf... Hang in there!

Posted by: Richmond at April 30, 2007 09:53 AM

Definitely something to make you smile on a Monday!

What a cute little stud muffin. *grin*

As for the paper... remember, it's all politics. If that's the worst they can say about you, you're doing great! You go girl!

I agree with Teresa 100%!

on both counts.

; )

too cute!

Go find the authors of those papers and breathe your germs on them! That will show them!

Oh, and there really is no such thing as bad press. I was so happy when I was running for election and got on the FRONT PAGE (of the local section) of the paper. It was great. What was the article about? Some speeding ticket I had gotten 10 years ago. It was awesome! I was getting tons of phone calls from people. Good stuff.

Posted by: Ogre at April 30, 2007 03:04 PM

So, Ogre, are you tellin' Oddy to go out and commit mischief? Like runnin' nekkid down the street? THAT would get attention AND the front page.

Seriously, though, Oddy, that little boy's face is just made for smooches!

And you're in my prayers...don't give up!

Posted by: Mrs. Who at April 30, 2007 06:41 PM

Okay, that scar on the boy is not showing up the way that we want unless there is some kind of bandage over it. I think that you better open it up again just to make sure that it develops properly. Please tell me that you did take the stitches out yourself?

And does the "not great on paper" comment mean that they didn't like the Playboy spread or what? Remember, most newpaper people are gay.

Now that's my kind of eye candy. Get to feeling better soon and ignore papers, they don't know what they are talking about anyway and I should know I work for one.

Hey, don't worry about what they say yet.

As for the woods being taken away, that just sucks. I remember when the woods I used to walk through as a child was sold and cut down for a slapboard housing development. I still mourn it.

Hey! Shiny glow in the dark stuff! Cool!

Anyway, all publicity is good. All people will remember is that they've heard your name before. They won't remember why. Familiarity is a GOOD thing.

Dang girl... Couldn't you get that boy a fireman's hat with a 3 or an 8 on it. 24... 24?

I agree with most of what many have already said about the papers. If you start believin' what they're writin'... you're sunk. Stick to your guns, screw the print.
